woven by Mjuka - Franziska Cadmus & Annika Steven

For us danish design is honest. It gives a feeling of being close to nature. We value pure materials and believe in highlighting those natural, beautiful details. In this project, we translated our understanding of Danish design into our collection Woven.
Emphasizing on raw materials we enjoyed playing with multiple layers which become visible throughout the
collection.

MJUKA is a young design studio based in Hamburg.
It was founded by the two furniture designers Annika Steven and
Franziska Cadmus.
Both designers come from northern parts of Germany and they studied together in Kiel. Afterwards, they continued their studies in Copenhagen, Gothenburg and Halle/Saale.
Their work is influenced by scandinavian design and they work
mostly with wood and fabric.
The value of the furniture is in the focus of their work, so the awareness of the materials and how they are produced is important.
